Come to the Studio!

On the 16th of February, Szigligeti Theatre is having a Carnival-period open house aiming to invite theatregoers into the multifunctional art centre and its new spaces upstairs in Sonnenfeld palace. At the same time, we are organizing a fundraiser for further development of Szigligeti Studio.

The open house will start with a charity sale and a Carnival playgroup organized by Lilliput Company. At the fair, sweets made by members of the theatre’s three companies will be on sale, and we will also have a tombola.

In a public rehearsal at 5 pm, director Zalán Zakariás will guide all those interested behind the scenes of his new big stage performance, Occident Express, written by acclaimed Romanian playwright Matei Vișniec.

Also at 5, Nagyvárad Ensemble invites everyone to an initiation into dance theatre titled Who Are You, Dance Theatre? Participation requires prior registration, which can be done on the theatre’s Facebook page or official website.

After the public rehearsal of Occident Express, visitors will be welcome to a make up and hairstyle corner, and they can also try on theatre costumes on the spot. The last event of the evening will be a karaoke party t 9 pm. To take part in this, please register on our Facebook page or website.
