Third Day of Infinite Dance Festival

Infinite Dance Festival, a dance and arts event organized by Nagyvárad Ensemble of Szigligeti Theatre, started on Monday and will continue until Sunday. On the third day of this unique event series that promotes the diverse forms of dance, saw the first performance of the section dedeicated to amateur dance companies, as well as a spectacular big stage show by the Contemporary Ballet of Szeged.

Besides professional dance companies, Infinite Dance Festival aims to present the region’s amateur groups, as well as talented debutants who are seeking to start a carreer in the art of dance. In the section called ProDance, before Wednesday’s big stage performance, several groups took the stage in front of the theatre building: multiple national and European champions Unique Dance, Infinity Dance from Salonta, as well as Oradea majorette groups Angels and Mystique.

The evening’s main attraction was the performance Absurdia by the Contemporary Ballet of Szeged. About the Oradea performance, the ballet’s director Pataki András has said the following: “We have participated in the first and second editions of Infinite Dance Festival, which means we are returning guests here in Oradea. We are glad to see the things the town does to promote the art of dance. With Absurdia, we attempted to express the importance of humour in dance. In this performance, this is an absurd, satytical humour that reflects the facts of our day-to-day lives.

On the fourth day of the festival, on 5 pm on Thursday 25 October, audiences will be invited to see a performance by Oradea Live Movement in the G building of Oradea Fortress, followed by the show by Bartók Dance Theatre Dunaújváros at 7 pm in Szigligeti Theatre. The evening will end with the show The Unknown by Nagyvárad Ensemble, at 9.30 pm.
