Weekend at the 4th Edition of Holnap Után Festival

This weekend at the 4th edition of Szigligeti Theatre's Holnap Után Festival, several very special events took place: besides a piano concert and theatre plays, there was also an interesting discussion with a well-known artist.

Friday, 8 April, our theatre was the venue of the 10th anniversary celebration of Radio Maria. The radio's representatives held a press conference, followed by a cultural program in the auditorium, featuring, among others, Csillagocska Folk Dance Ensemble, the male choir of Vlăhiţa (Szentegyháza), and the music band Roll from Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda). At the end of the evening, world famous pianist Tamás Érdi, winner of Prima Junior and Prima Primissima awards, has performed works by Chopin, Bartók and Liszt.

On the 9th of April, those interested were able to meet well-known TV editor György Nemlaha, originally from Oradea. He told us about the golden age of Hungarian television, his artist friends who have since become legendary, and his relationship with operetta. The evening continued with the Szigligeti Company's performance Once Upon an Operetta, in memory of actress Hanna Honthy. The performance complete with live music was written by György Nemlaha himself, and directed by András Schlanger.

On the 10th of April, preparing for the Day of Hungarian Poetry, Csaba Kőrösi, former member of our company, will present his individual performance titled From the Ér to the Ocean. The actor from Veszprém has an interesting surprise for the audience, and will remember his years spent in Oradea, together with his friends. This will be the closing event of the 4th Edition of Holnap Után Festival.
