Preparing for a new edition of Holnap Után Festival
Between 6—10 April, Szigligeti Theatre will organize the fourth edition of Holnap Után Festival. During the event series, the show commemorating famous primadonna Hanna Honthy, titled Once Upon an Operetta, will have its premiere on the 9th.
True to its original concept, there will be theatre plays, concerts and literary discussions, partially with people who have some kind of connection with Oradea. Thus, on the opening day, 6 April, 7 pm, Oradea-born actress Kati Lázár will present her individual performance about the life of Mari Jászai in Szigligeti Studio.
On the second day of the festival, literature will take the stage: at 5 pm in Szigligeti Studio, a discussion will take place about the life and opera of Aladár Kuncz. The discussion will be moderated by László Boka, scientific director of Széchényi National Library, one of the founders of Holnap Után Festival. Literary historian Éva Jeney, culture historian and minority researcher Tamás Gusztáv Filep, and Gyula H. Szabó, director of publisher Kriterion were those who discussed abot the life of the Transylvanian literate. Following this, actor Miklós Turek will present a recital about Hungarian poet Attila József's last evening, also in the studio.
Friday, 8 April, our theatre will be the venue of the 10th anniversary celebration of Radio Maria. The anniversary will continue with the concert of piano artist Tamás Érdi.
Szigligeti Company's new studio performance, commemorating famous primadonna Hanna Honthy, titled Once Upon an Operetta, will have its premiere on the 9th. The performance complete with live music was written by György Nemlaha, directed by András Schlanger, and features actress Júlia Molnár, as well as actors Levente Kovács Jr. and Csaba Kiss.
On the closing day of the festival, 10 April, Sunday at 7 pm, Csaba Kőrösi, former member of our company, will present his individual performance titled From the Ér to the Ocean, in Szigligeti Studio.
