Days of Independent Theatre

On the 29th of January, Szigligeti Theatre has started an initiative aiming to make the region's experimental, independent and contemporary theatrical efforts known to local audiences. At the Days of Independent Theatre, in February, three theatre groups will play in Oradea.

On the 15th of February, at 7 pm, Spectrum Theatre from Tg. Mureş will present Moliére's comedy The School for Wives. The play is about love that knows no compromise, and is complete with music and dance. The performance is directed by Viola Török.

On the 18th, recently founded András Lóránt Company will play Szigligeti Theatre: at 7 pm, their gestural theatre performance Fade Out will take place. The play is based on the drama by Matei Vișniec And What About the Cello?, and is choreographed by Csaba Györfi, well-known to local audiences.

On the 21st of February, at 7 pm, M Studio Sf. Gheorghe will present their gestural theatre play Kampf. M Studio, Transylvania's first professional gestural theatre company aims to introduce theatre forms well-known in Western Europe – this is the also goal of the play choreographed by Ferenc Fehér.

Tickets for the shows are available at the theatre's booking office (open Tuesday to Friday 11 am—5 pm, or one hour before curtain time).
