Góbi Rita's Company in Oradea

Szigligeti Theatre organizes an event series called Days of Independent Theatre, during which we will invite independent theatre companies. This initiative will be a great opportunity for our audience to get to know young, experimental artists.

Our guests will be Góbi Rita's Company from Budapest, András Lóránt Company and Spectrum Theatre from Tg. Mureş, and M Studio from Sf. Gheorghe.

Our first guesst will be Góbi Rita's Company, a notable presence in the world of contemporary dance, performance and theatre since 2006. Rita Góbi is a dancer originally from Serbia, who graduated from the Budapest Dance Academy after studying classical ballet.

She is the winner of multiple awards in Hungary and abroad, among others, in Belgrade, Krakow, and Köln.

The performance Don't Throw a Tantrum! is interpreted by Rita Góbi and Dávid Szegő, in dance and instrumental music. “This happens in an ever-timely present: we will command ourselves – and, with due respect, our audience – exactly then and there!”

In 2015, Rita Góbi won the Dance Association's award for the best female dancer of the season in contemporary dance for this performance.

The performance will take place on the 29th of January, at 7 pm, in Szigligeti Studio. Business hours of the theatre's booking agency are Tuesday to Friday 11 am to 5 pm, or one hour before curtain times.
