Five years of independence

On the 27th of January 2011, the Council has voted the order thanks to which, after 55 years, Oradea has an independent Hungarian theatre again, by reorganizing Szigligeti Company of Oradea State Theatre, Lilliput Company of Arcadia Children and Youth Theatre, and Nagyvárad Ensemble of Oradea State Philharmony.

To mark the decision's fifth anniversary, Szigligeti Theatre organizes an event series, between 27—30 January.

 

Wednesday, 27 January

4 pm: Who Will I Be When I Grow Up? Opening event of this year's Theatre in School, School in Theatre programme

6 pm: Memories, Experiences. Your Theatre Since 5 Years.Exhibition opening with a surprise.

Venue: Szigligeti Studio, Light room

7 pm: Play It Again! Our audience can cast their votes in our Facebook-page to choose which show from the last 5 season they want to review on film.

Thursday, 28 January

1 pm: Leánder and Lenszirom – youth play

Entrance to the programs, with the exception of Don't Throw a Tantrum! and Leánder and Lenszirom is free. During the events, visitors will have the chance to take pictures with the props of our most popular shows, as well as their favourite artists.
