Focus on Teenagers – a discussion with Tamás Rákay

Leánder and Lenszirom, Szigligeti Theatre’s new production focuses on the basic dilemmas of teenage. The show will premiere on the 20th of November, at 7 pm, in Szigligeti Studio. Tamás Rákay, the play's scenographer and costume designer says it’s his second work that becomes reality on the stage.

“In Leánder and Lenszirom,we focus mainly on teenagers, but at the same time, grown-ups will recall their own memories of teenage years” - the designer says. “I think children and teenagers are much more honest and more critical than their parents. Together with director Tünde Tóth, we are trying to create the world of the performance through their eyes. I have drawn inspiration from my own teenage years, and also from the lives of today's real teenagers” – Tamás Rákay declares. He adds: “I hope everyone will find the magic of the set in themselves.”
