We Are Preparing for the Premiere of Our Class

On Friday, the 20th of March, at 7pm, we will present the drama Our Class by Tadeusz Słobodzianek, directed by Anca Bradu. Since weeks, our acotrs have been devotedly participating at a rehearsal process that demands intense concentration. The play bears the message of the necessity of tolerance and forgiveness, the lack of which, according to the creators, is an extremely important thing to show to today's society.

The drama follows the life of the ten students in a class. Polish and Jewish people represent the generation whose life was gravely marked by the horrors of the Second World War. They tell personal stories about their part in the 20th century, from 1925 to present time. Through them, we face the way a small town's inner life is bombed to pieces by history and vulnerability. Childish jokes, conflicts and affirmations without any consequence are undetectedly transformed and degenerated into hatred.
