World Circus – Dance Concert in Szolnok

On 10 January, Szolnok Symphonic Orchestra had a dance concert. The venue of the full-house New Year's performance was the sports stadium of the city of Szolnok. At the end, the audience thanked the performers with a standing ovation and applause. Dancers of Nagyvárad Ensemble took the stage – the company also gave the title of the monumental performance, World Circus being the title of their show created together with Szigligeti Company. Besides our artists who performed sequences from the aforementioned show, dancers of Budapest Dance Theatre and Hungarian National Ballet also appeared on the stage. Besides the dancers, National Choir, Bartók Béla Chamber Choir Szolnok and the great Isaki Masahiro, music director and conductor also excelled with the Szolnok Symphonic Orchestra.

At the dance concert, parts from Mozart's Requiem were performed, besides the works of great Russian composers such as Stravinsky, Borodin, Tchaikovsky and Mussorgsky.
