Playboy of the Western World at the Szigligeti Theater

The Harag György Company from Szatmárnémeti will have a gueast perfomance on the second half of February. They bring for the audience of Nagyvárad the play of Millington Synge: Playboy of the Western World.

The dates of the shows are the following:
Sunday, 16th. of February from 19:00 : Halasi Gyula - Led
Sunday, 23 th of February from 17:00 Bessenyei György - Led
Weednesday, 26 of February from 19:00 Partium - Led
The play is set in village Mayo, where a young man arrives one evening. This young man calls himself Christy Mahon and claims that he has killed his father. Everyone including Pegeen are fascinated and admire Christy for this heroic deed. Christy becomes a hero in the eyes of the villagers. The villager’s life is not such an easy one as it seems, unexpected events make their appearance.
