The 12th Interethnic Theatre Festival will take place in Oradea from 10 to 21 November
Over the course of the twelve-day festival, 18 theatre companies will present their work. Alongside Hungarian theatres from Transylvania, audiences will also be able to see productions by German and Jewish theatre companies from Romania. The programme will feature drama and musical performances, movement theatre productions, as well as a variety of experiments in theatrical form and language.
IFESZT is more than a series of performances: professional discussions, meetings with artists and other accompanying events will also await audiences. The festival creates opportunities for artists and spectators to meet, while also providing a space for exchanging experiences and reflecting together.
The Szigligeti Theatre in Oradea last hosted the Interethnic Theatre Festival in 2012. Fourteen years later, in November 2026, Oradea will once again become the meeting place for Romania’s national minority theatres.
The detailed festival programme and ticket information will be announced soon.
