The 14th Holnapután Festival has begun

On May 5, 2026, the 14th edition of the Holnapután Festival kicked off in Oradea. The first event was the classroom performance titled “Bánk Bán? Present!” by Váróterem Projekt, which was attended by a graduating class from the Ady Endre Theoretical High School in Oradea. The performance, directed by Visky Andrej, premiered in 2011 and has been continuously performed in various schools ever since. This contemporary adaptation of the classic work engaged young audiences in an interactive way.

After that, two actors from the Csokonai Theatre in Debrecen performed their interactive show titled “Dragon’s Eye” in a third-grade class at the Lorántffy Zsuzsanna Reformed High School. The performance was directed by Bethlenfalvy Ádám in 2024. The children were able to freely express their creativity and imagination through collaborative storytelling.

Finally, the first day of the festival concluded with a professional discussion moderated by Gyevi-Bíró Eszter. The informal talk was attended by the actors as well as professional guests, including theatre studies students from Cluj-Napoca and Târgu Mureș.
