William Shakespeare

Hamlet

Translated by::

To be or not to be?”- is a question we all face. A dilemma shared by actors, creators and, we hope, the audience as well. Shakespeare's famous monologue echoes in all of us, because Hamlet is an inescapable moral and spiritual touchstone for everyone. The Danish prince reflects our vulnerability, our weaknesses, our vanities, and our betrayals. Is there a way out of the labyrinth of our narcissistic reality?

On the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Szigligeti Theatre, Péter Telihay is staging one of the most intriguing and best-known works of world drama, in a co-production between the Oradea Theatre and the Gyula Castle Theatre.
