Actors of Szigligeti Company, Awarded With Golden Diplomas

Friday, the 15th of April, Tg. Mureş University of Arts has celebrated its 70th anniversary. At the jubilar event, after the students' performances and festive speeches, alumni of the class of 1955/56 were presented with Golden Diplomas. Imre Dobos, member of Szigligeti Company, and László Miske, life member of the company, were also among the honorees.

The Hungarian Conservatory of Arts was founded in 1946, in Cluj-Napoca. It was later moved to Tg. Mureş, and is considered the predecessor of today's institution. At the event, speeches were made by the university's rector Sorin Crișan, the county's prefect Lucian Goga, Oana Leahu, dean of the Romanian department, and Anna Kós, dean of the Hungarian department.

In closing, actor Levente Kovács sr. presented the alumni of the class that graduated 50 years ago, in 1955/56. Among them, those who were present at the event – Imre Dobos, László Miske, Éva Székely M., Imre Szélyes and István Szőke – were presented with Golden Diplomas.
