The theatre festival at Oradea came to an end

The 6th Interethnic Theatre Festival has come to an end at Oradea on Sunday with a prize ceremony and the performance of the Csokonai Theatre entitled Scapin's Deceits. According to the decision of the five-person professional jury, more special prizes and six professional prizes were handed over in the following categories: best male and female actor in a leading role, best male and female actor in a supporting role, best scenery and best director. The members of the professional jury: Adrienne Darvay Nagy theatre historian, writer, theatrologist, performing arts consultant, András Forgách writer, translator, screenwriter, Jászai Mari Prize winner dramatic advisor, Ştefan Iordănescu director, artistic counsellor, István Zsehránszky journalist, editor, critic, Lóránt András actor, choreographer, director.

Professional prizes:
According to the decision of the jury, the prize of the best supporting female actor is given to Olga Török, the artist of German State Theatre of Timișoara, for her performance in SEXes/AXes - The Furies & The Great War.

The prize of the best male actor in a supporting role is given to László Szakács, from Tamási Áron Theatre of Sfântu Gheorghe, for his performance in Bánk Bán.

The prize of the best female actor in a leading role was given to Enikő Blénessy, the artist of German State Theatre of Timișoara, for her performance in SEXes/AXes - The Furies & The Great War.

The prize of the best male actor in a leading role was given to M. Róbert Kardos, the artist of Szigligeti Theatre, for his performance in Scenes from an Execution.

The prize of the best scenery was given to Velica Pandurun, for designing the acting space of the play entitled SEXes/AXes - The Furies & The Great War at German State Theatre of Timișoara.

The professional jury awarded László Bocsárdi with the prize of the best director, for staging the play entitled Bánk bán at Tamási Áron Theatre of Sfântu Gheorghe.

Special prizes:

According to the decision of the professional jury the special prize offered by Várad Literary Magazine and Erdélyi Riport was given to Levente Dimény, the artist of Szigligeti Theatre for his performance in Scenes from an Execution. The prize was handed over by Judit Simon, the director of Riport Publishing House. The special prize offered by the minority department of the Romanian Radio was given to the play entitled Mine-blindness directed by Aba Sebestyén. The prize offered by the Reformed Church Diocese of Királyhágómellék was given to Árpád Barabás, for his performance in The Miser, at Tomcsa
Sándor Theatre of Odorheiu Secuiesc. The prize offered by Atlantis Travel, travel agency, was given to Aba Sebestyén actor, director, for his performance in The Taming of the Shrew and for directing the performance entitled Mine-blindness.
