Hungarian drama at the theatre and at the pub

On the occasion of the Day of Hungarian Drama two events will take place at Oradea, organized by the Szigligeti Theatre. Two very distinct texts at two locals with different atmospheres: those who are interested can peek into the rehearsals of Ernő Szép’s one-act comedy, entitled Firefighter, at the elegant box hallway of the theatre while in the great hall of Moszkva Caffe the spectators can get to know László Garaczi’s slangy, consciously corrupted text from his play called Plasma. In the case of the former, Géza Hajdú, actor and the director of the performance, attempted to introduce the audience, formed mostly of young people, into the backstage secrets of a „semi-finished” performance, only with moderation of course, because – as he said – he doesn’t want to “kill the joke”. István Szabó K., artistic director, ran the interactive reading rehearsal, held at Moszkva Caffe, where the audience, the journalists and the actors made László Garaczi’s exciting text come alive.

Géza Hajdu also talked about one of his favourite authors Ernő Szép
