How much attention does a case recieve, besides us reading and hearing about it? How many cases happen day by day, cases that change everything? Whe are we afraid to face our desires, and why are we afraid to stand for them in our family, our workplace, in the world?
Can we ever sense the human moments born between actor and viewer? Or does it all reman just a case we call theatre? The Case is more than a case. The case is the last refuge of our human hopes in this fast-moving and material world, where everything repeats day after day, and we have no chance to meet each other. Maybe no we can...
The Case won the award for Best Drama at the dráMÁzat II. Contest in the category Debut, in 2014. Szigligeti Theatre put  Szíjártó Tímea-Aletta's first work to the stage, with help from directing student Sardar Tagirovsky, because we make a point of supporting young debutants.
The local author took one of the most important tasks of contemporary drama seriously: to make us think about our surroundings, those around us – about ourselves. The characters of The Case search for prosperity in their dull everyday lives, but they don't really get from A to B. It is a drama of the loss of hope, its characters desperately seek a chance to escape from the poverty that drowns them – but what chance do they stand?
Szíjártó Tímea-Aletta creates a special world, talking about its heroes with a sense of justice, empathy and painful humor.
Sardar Tagirovsky, of Russian descent, studied acting at the Budapest Shakespeare Academy, then at a puppetry course at the Budapest Puppet Theatre. He was a student of italian director Paolo Antonio Simioni, and since 2012, he has been studying directing at the Marosvásárhely University of Arts, in the class of Bocsárdi László
