Romance – the Ballet of Győr in Oradea

On 21 May, from 19:00, the internationally renowned Győr Ballet will perform on the main stage of the Szigligeti Theatre. This time, the company will come to Oradea with a contemporary ballet performance of the play Romance, composed to the music of Zoltán Kodály.

László Velek, the direcor-coreographer of the performance and the director for Győri Ballett, first worked on Zoltán Kodály's works in 2013, resulting in the birth of the highly successful piece KODÁLY. By re-imagining it, he created his choreography Romance, which draws from every corner of the world-famous composer's work, paying tribute to the Hungarian musicologist, music teacher and folk music researcher.
