Online Video Store During the Easter Holiday

In April, Hungarian classics and a contemporary dance performance will be added to Szigligeti Theatre's online video store. The series of uploads started in 15 March. Since then, all three companies of the theatre have published earlier recordings of their shows. Our campaign #stayhomewatchtheatre aims to bring back some colour into our lives during the lockdown, and remind audiences everywhere that theatre is still the new black.

Between 6–12 April, for the Day of Hungarian Poetry, we plan to publish two recordings on our Facebook page and YouTube channel: the children's show Kormos képpel mutogat based on poems by Kormos István on 8 April at 10 AM, and Honnan és hová? / Where From and Where To?” on 11 April at 7 PM, featuring poems by Arany János,

On Easter Sunday, 12 April, the dance theatre performance Idegen / Stranger, adapted from the short story The Gospel According to Mark by JL Borges goes live in our video store. On Easter Monday, 13 April, we invite all families to watch one of the most popular children's shows of the past years, Leánder and Lenszirom, to be uploaded at 5 PM.

Our series aiming to support teachers of Hungarian literature and their students continues with videos presenting literary greats such as Petőfi Sándor, Arany János, and Ady Endre.
