Charley's Aunt and Lady Kiss in Oradea

After the great success of their latest guest performance, Harag György Company of the Northern Theatre Satu Mare is returning to Oradea between 16—18 March. The company's actors promise to unforgettable moments to the audience.

The three-day visit starts on 16 March, with the comedy Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas, adapted to the Hungarian musical stage by György Aldobolyi Nagy and Iván Szenes. The performance that already has two successful TV adaptations, is about the strange love story of two Oxford students.

Charley and Jack fall in love with Spittigue's two beautiful daughters, Kitty and Annie, kept under tight control by their grim old stepfather. The two young men have no money, so they can expect no kindness from Spittigue. Their only hope remains Charley's aunt, the millionaire widow. But Aunt Donna Lucia fails to arrive. Thus, the two boys have no choice but to convince their good friend Babberley to play the role of the aunt. And a true friend is willing to put on women's clothes just to be of help... But what a glorious mess can result if, besides the faux aunt, the real one also appears...

On 17 and 18 March, the evergreen operetta by Béla Zerkovitz returns to the stage of Szigligeti Theatre. Lady Kiss, presented to Oradea audiences in January, features some of the best-known songs of the genre. For the show on Saturday, 5 PM, Papp Magda season tickets are valid, whereas for the one on Sunday at 7 PM, Halasi Gyula season tickets can be used (instead of A Comedy of Errors).
