Studio Performances at the 6th HolnapUtán Festival

Szigligeti Theatre organizes the 6th edition of HolnapUtán Festival, between 20—25 March 2018. During the six days of the festival, 12 companies from Transylvania and Hungary will present 14 shows, and, besides the guest performances, roundtable discussions, workshops, an exhibition opening, and several concerts will also take place.

This year's line-up features studio performances by state-funded and independent theatres, and also shows presented by students of the Hungarian acting schools of the Carpathian Basin.

On 20 March, at 8 PM, the festival's host, Szigligeti Company of Szigligeti Theatre presents Goalpost and Own Goal, winner of the theatre's playwriting contest, directed by Péter Tasnádi-Sáhy.

Grove by Waitingroom Project Cluj-Napoca tells the story of an actress who returns to her hometown. The show will take place on 21 March, at 7 PM, at Szigligeti Studio. The next day, the independent company will perform another play, Bánk bán? Present! The latter is a classroom performancce presented for the students of Ady Endre High School.

The next acting school to take the stage will be the University of Kaposvár, whose students will play their own version of Bánk bán on 22 March, at 5 PM, in Szigligeti Studio.

The acting students of Babeș–Bolyai University will perform for the first time at the festival. They will present two Shakespeare adaptations: on 24 March at 5 PM, the comedy As You Like It, and on 25 March at 5 PM, Romeo and Juliet.

The full schedule will soon be accessible via smartphone, with FestivApp, available for Android as well as iOs phones. Through the app, viewers can access many additional info and be informed about any changes in real time.

Tickets for the shows are already available at the theatre's booking office, open Monday to Friday

2—7 PM, as well as one hour before the start of the shows, and also online at www.biletmaster.ro.

• HolnapUtán Ticket: valid for three optional shows on the theatre's main stage, price: 60 RON
