Szigligeti Theatre's Companies On Tour

Szigligeti Theatre's companies are going on tour in closing of the season. Szigligeti Company is giving guest performances at Northern Theatre Satu Mare, and is participating in the 29th edition of the Festival of Kisvárda, whereas Nagyvárad Ensemble is performing in Győr.

The operetta Maya will be presented to Satu Mare audiences three times this month. The monumental performance, first presented on New Year's Eve, and directed by Eszter Novák, will be put to the Satu Mare stage on 9, 10, and 27 June.

In the festival competition of Hungarian theatres from beyond the borders of Hungary, Szigligeti Company participates with two shows: on the 18th of June, Maya, and on the 20th, Mine Flower, directed by István Hunyadi, will be presented to the prestigious audience. Members of the jury are: actor-director Péter Fábián from K2 Theatre; László Keszég, main stage director of Szeged National Theatre, president of the Hungarian Theatre Society; András Pataki, director and stage director of Petőfi Theatre Sopron; theatre critic László Zappe, and Andrea Zsigmond theatre author, editor, and university professor.

The performance Collisions by Nagyvárad Ensemble will go on tour to the National Theatre of Győr on 19 June. The performance is directed by Levente Dimény, its dramaturgy is by Tamás Szalay, and its music is composed by Tibor Cári.
