November premieres in the Szigligeti Theatre

Szigligeti Theatre will be presenting two new premieres in November: a dance performance and a comedy.

On the 11th of November, Szigligeti Company will present Füst Milán's comedy, Máli néni. The play, based on typical comedic formulas, first premiered in 1984 – until then, the text had been unknown to theatre and literary historians.

“Máli néni is just as crazy as life itself. Full of poetry, absurd and passion, its heroes mysterious and loveable: eccentric, sassy and complicated, it evokes a past age and lifestyle, flies from collapse to happiness (and back): just like the life we live” – director Koltai M. Gábor said, adding that it was clear to him from the very first moment that the title role of the play would be played by Csiky Ibolya.

Tickets for the premiere are available in a limited number, Szigligeti season-tickets are valid. Next performances of Máli néni will take place on the 19th of November at 5 PM and on the 20th of November at 7 PM.

Nine choreographers have worked together on the new production by Nagyvárad Ensemble. Collisions amplifies our daily struggles and relations, talking, in an experimental way, about love, ruthlessness, revenge and salvation.

„Collisions is about people today. Men and women, stories as independent events, but which, tied together, paint a diverse picture about us all” – says Dimény Levente, the play's director.The original music for the performance was composed by Cári Tibor. The production premieres on the 9th of November at 7 PM, a second performance will take place on the 15th of November, 7 PM, in the Szigligeti Studio.

Attention! The booking office of Szigligeti Theatre will be open from Monday, the 14th of November, to Friday, 2–7 PM, and also one hour before curtain time.
