A Night at the Theatre – with a Full House

The event An Night at the Theatre took place in front of a full house. On the Open Day, on the 7th of October, more than 1000 people came to visit the 3 companies.

On the 7th, A Night at the Thater started with the reading of Körmöczi-Kriván Péter's Debüt Award-winning text. On the theatrical event called Daraboló, Hunyadi István directed the play Sidebar, which, alongside two actors of the Szigligeti Theatre, starred a dozen students taking part in the school program.

From 7 PM, an open rehearsal was held for My Little Cold-room by the contemporary French author Joel Pommerat. Art director Novák Eszter and director Cristian Tudor Popescu spoke about rehearsing the play, following which the public assisted to the rehearsal of the first act. After the open rehearsal, there was a talk with the creators.

A lecture of Bedtime Stories for Grown-ups by Lilliput Company was a great success. The blithe Transylvanian folk tales were presented by the actors of the company, along with Körmöczi-Kriván Péter, in front of an audience that filled the theatre's box-lobby. Because of the success, the play was repeated right that evening.

The event entitled Living Várad, organized with help from Várad Cultural Magazine, was also repeated. The playbook of the half-hour long play Restaurant to the Mute Dionysos was written by debutant local authors (Kemenes Henriette, Ozsváth Zsuzsa, Jock Evelin, Mihók Tamás és Biró Árpád Levente), and made to the stage in the course of a two-day workshop by local acting students Duna Orsolya, Fekete Ágnes, Vári Vivien, Benczi Tekla, Bondár Tibor és Tőtős Ádám, with help from directing student Tasnádi-Sáhy Péter.

In the evening, a sensational party followed, in which, besides the Nagyvárad Ensemble, Csillagocska Folk Dance Group was also involved.
