Szigligeti Summer Evenings are ready to start

Szigligeti Summer Eveningswill begin on the 30th of July, with a charitable dance marathon for Yuppi Camp. In the program, there will be an open air theatre premiere, concerts and an invited dance producion from Argentina.

 

Szigligeti Summer Evenings by Szigligeti Theatre will take place between 30 July – 2nd of September. This year, for the first time, the events will be organized on the open-air stage of the Fortress of  Nagyvárad. The diverse program offer's main goal, besides inviting nationally and internationally well-known artists, is also to give an opportunity to local talents to show themselves.

 On the 30th of July, European Champions  Unique Dance Studio will organize the charitable dance marathon to raise money for chronically ill children's Yuppi Camp. Anyone can register for the event, participation fee is 10 RON,  entry fee is 5 RON, and jackpot is 500 RON. Further info and registration with Simon Noémi,  simonnoemi@yahoo.com.

 

On the 15th of August, Szigligeti Theatre will have some very special guests: Argentinian dance group Bafolse will perform on the stage of the fortress. The company's mission is to promote traditional Argentinian dance culture. Almost 30 artists – professional dancers and musicians – will take the stage.

 

On the 19th, Szigligeti Company will have its first open air premiere. Székely Csaba's popular tragicomedy Mine Flower is directed by actor Hunyadi István. The play had a previous success at public readings, and, beginning with the next season, our public will be able to view it on the stage of the studio.

 

On the 30th of August, Hungarian operetta stars Peller Károly, Oszvald Marika and Szendy Szilvi will visit the stage of the fortress, then, on the 2nd of September,  Koós János and his daughter Koós Réka will perform there. In the course of September, actress  Udvaros Dorottya will perform her new concert Majdnem valaki.

 

Tickets can be purchased at the theatre's booking office, online on www.biletmaster.ro, or, depending on the number of free seats left, tickets may also be purchased on location, one hour before curtain time.  In this period,  the theatre's booking office is open Tuesday to Friday 2 to 7PM. Those who have had season tickets in the past 5 years will get discounts on the entry fees.
