Liliomfi at Kisvárda

The Szigligeti Company participates with the performance Liliomfi at the Kisvárda Festival of Hungarian Theatres on Friday, the 22nd of June. Liliomfi will be the opening performance of the festival; therefore it will be performed on the first day of the festival on the Castle Stage.

‘The concept of this year’s festival was to invite at least one production from all the Hungarian theatres beyond borders if it is possible. I tried to choose the best ones from all the performances presented between the 1st of April, 2011 and the 31st of March, 2012. I am not sure that my list would conclude with the opinion of others.’ – said István Bicskei, the selector. ‘This is a hilarious comedy with the “participation” of the audience. We can see an unconventional Liliomfi performance, with magnificent acting.’ – Bicskei summarized his impressions about the performance at Oradea.
