The Second Oradea Puppet Camp has Ended

Lilliput Company of Szigligeti Theatre has organized the second edition of Oradea Puppet Camp between 7—11 August. This year, almost 80 children participated, which means that the second edition was much more popular than the first. Children made puppets, took part in handcraft and sports activities as well as folk and drama games. Participants worked in teams – a blue, a red, a yellow and a green team –, and demonstrated their creativity and what they had learned by presenting their own shows at the end of the camp, in front of their family members, relatives, and friends.

Children prepared the mini-performances with help from the company's own puppeteers. They adapted well-known tales as well as their own stories, creating all necessary props and puppets themselves. Sándor Tibor Lélek's team worked on the tale Csudacsepp written by the team leader himself, Emese Németi adapted the folk tale A kisgömböc with her team, Judit Balogh helped the children put the classic Lúdas Matyi to the stage, whereas the team led by Mária Stéfán Bodor presented tales about King Matthias Corvinus.

The camp took place in the Fortress of Oradea, thanks to support by Tanoda Association and Kárpátia Hungarian—Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
