The Jungle Book

musical - The coproduction of the Lilliput Company and the Szigligeti Company

“A man among wolves, a wolf among men”- this is the way Mowgli reports the painful feelings connected to the stages of becoming human. In spite of its ruthlessness and harshness The Law of the Jungle seems more humane than the mean and cynical world of deception where people live and which is unacceptable for the world of the jungle. But people are capable of miracles as well; they are able to create situations where good is not only a worthy opponent for evil but it can really defeat it and despite all appearances they still support universality. The Jungle Book is often considered a play for the whole family. The creators hope that the representatives of every generation will find their emotional, intellectual truth experience in the performance. Yes, it is a play for the family but it is community builder and theatre builder as well. Its goal is to make spectators along with the creators and performers feel like members of the same family, make the actors and the chosen child characters help each other hand in hand, make each other’s talent shine and enable them to create together the miracle of the theatre, through which they can experience and convey emotions, share feelings and dreams with each other and above all they radiate hope.
